- Location fixed against exhaust clearance, window and door setbacks, snow shed, and drifting patterns, before landscaping.
- Conduit and feeder routing
- Runs placed in open trench and open wall, sized once for the final generator rather than the starter unit.
- Fuel infrastructure
- Gas line and regulator sized for generator demand on top of appliance demand, or the propane tank placed and permitted correctly.
- Panel architecture
- Critical loads grouped onto a dedicated sub-panel from day one, so transfer is clean and load management is simple.
- Transfer switch provision
- ATS location, service-entrance rating, and meter coordination handled with the utility during service application.
- Generator-ready option
- Full infrastructure now and the unit later, a common approach when budget is staged across phases.
